Sellick Partnership is excited to be working with a well-established and growing firm seeking a Newly Qualified Clinical Negligence Lawyer to join their respected team in Colchester.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious junior lawyer to work closely with specialists in a highly regarded Clinical Negligence team, handling a broad spectrum of claims and making a real difference to people's lives.
Role Overview:
Taking responsibility for a caseload of diverse clinical negligence matters under supervision.
Working on claims relating to medical misdiagnosis, surgical mistakes, birth injuries, mental health care failings, cosmetic and dental negligence, and incorrect prescriptions.
Managing cases at various stages, including pre-action and litigation phases.
Drafting legal documentation, engaging with medical experts, and preparing detailed case analysis.
Supporting senior lawyers on complex, high-value claims.
Handling client communications with empathy, professionalism, and clarity.
Playing a key role in delivering excellent client service across the department.
About You:
NQ lawyer (or due to qualify soon), with a strong interest in claimant clinical negligence.
A training seat or experience in either clinical negligence or serious personal injury is desirable.
A client-focused, compassionate approach with a strong sense of justice.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A well-organised team player who thrives under pressure and can manage sensitive issues with care.
