We are currently working with a well-regarded and growing firm in the Reading area that is looking for an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled legal professional who is keen to combine quality casework with greater involvement in team leadership and supervision.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing your own caseload of residential property matters from instruction through to completion, including sales, purchases, leaseholds, freeholds, new builds, remortgages, and transfers of equity
Acting as the lead fee earner on files and ensuring matters are progressed efficiently and with high levels of client care
Supporting senior management in the day-to-day oversight of the conveyancing department
Mentoring and supervising junior team members, including legal professionals and support staff
Helping to build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, referrers, and estate agents
Providing clear, practical legal advice while delivering a proactive and client-focused service
Contributing to team development and playing an active role in achieving departmental goals
The successful candidate:
A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer with a minimum of 5 years' PQE in residential property law
Confident managing a varied and sometimes complex caseload independently
Strong technical knowledge and a pragmatic, solutions-driven approach
Experience in mentoring or supervising junior colleagues is desirable
Highly organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Personable, approachable, and capable of fostering strong internal and external relationships
Comfortable using legal technology and modern case management systems
