Sellick Partnership is working with a well-established and highly regarded law firm in Manchester, seeking an experienced Senior Construction Solicitor to join their busy and growing construction team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior-level solicitor to manage a complex and high-value caseload, lead on contentious and non-contentious construction matters, and play a key role in mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling a wide range of construction law matters, including:

    • Drafting and negotiating construction contracts, collateral warranties, and professional appointments

    • Advising on disputes, adjudications, arbitration, and litigation

    • Managing complex projects from inception to completion

    • Providing strategic and commercially focused advice to clients across the construction sector

  • Leading and supervising junior team members, providing coaching and support

  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships

  • Supporting business development activities and contributing to the growth of the team

About You:

  • Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years' PQE specialising in construction law

  • Proven track record managing complex, high-value construction disputes and transactional work

  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills

  • Commercially minded and client-focused approach

  • Experience supervising and mentoring junior lawyers

  • Confident in business development and networking within the sector

  • Proactive, organised, and able to work independently and as part of a team
