A highly regarded Legal 500 employment practice is seeking a Senior Employment Associate (6-9 years' PQE) to join its specialist Senior Executive team.
This is an exceptional opportunity to play a leading role in a top-tier practice advising senior professionals, executives, founders, and board-level clients on complex and high-value employment matters.
You'll take a central role in advising on a wide range of sensitive and high-profile issues, combining technical excellence with commercial and strategic insight. You will manage your own caseload and supervise junior lawyers, while working closely with partners on some of the most intricate and high-stakes cases in the market.
Your work will include:
Advising on discrimination, whistleblowing, and contractual (bonus and incentive) disputes, in both Employment Tribunal and High Court contexts
Handling senior-level exits, settlement negotiations, and regulatory-related employment matters
Acting for clients within financial services, private equity, professional partnerships, and other regulated sectors
Contributing to the team's business development, mentoring, and client relationship management
Access to high-quality, complex work for senior and high-profile clients
A collaborative and forward-thinking culture that encourages initiative and leadership
Ongoing training and professional development, with genuine progression opportunities
Competitive remuneration in the range of £135,000-£145,000, commensurate with experience
6-9 years' PQE in employment law with strong contentious and advisory experience
Deep understanding of core employment law and the issues facing senior executives
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
A strategic, commercial mindset with strong client relationship experience
Ability to manage complex cases independently while mentoring junior team members
A collaborative, proactive approach and enthusiasm for high-level advisory work
