Role: Senior Management Accountant
Type: Permanent
Salary: £55,000 - £58,000 (up to £60,000 for extensive experience)
Location: Fully remote (candidates must be within 2 hours of Cambridgeshire)

Sellick Partnership is partnering with a Housing Association to recruit a Senior Management Accountant on a permanent basis.

The responsibilities of the Senior Management Accountant will be:

  • Producing accurate, timely monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
  • Supporting annual budget setting, forecasting, and reforecast processes.
  • Preparing statutory financial statements, regulatory returns, and year-end audit schedules.
  • Leading on accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and commentary for management reporting.
  • Acting as a finance business partner to budget holders, providing meaningful insight and advice.
  • Maintaining and developing financial systems, including Open Accounts and Power BI.
  • Supporting the Finance Manager and wider team with strategic financial projects.

The ideal candidate for the Senior Management Accountant role will have:

  • CCAB qualification (or actively working towards).
  • Minimum 18 months' experience within the Housing sector (2+ years desirable).
  • Strong technical knowledge of management and financial accounts, SORP and FRS 102.
  • Experience of variance analysis, reporting, regulatory returns, and year-end processes.
  • Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills, with experience of Power BI.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to challenge and support budget holders effectively.
