Our commitment to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) in the workplace is a widely debated topic. As a responsible recruitment partner, we firmly believe all businesses, regardless of their size or the sector in which they work, should be able to demonstrate their commitment to EDI and talk openly and honestly about what they are doing to support their employees.

EDI in the workplace brings people of all backgrounds together, which creates a high performance and innovative environment. At Sellick Partnership we value the unique differences of our colleagues, candidates and clients that contribute to our company and work hard to create and maintain a culture that is respectful, accessible and forward thinking. Equality, Diversity & Inclusion are essential elements of any corporate culture and in order to ensure this is always at the top of our agenda we have appointed Diversity Champions who are all passionate about creating an environment accessible to everyone. Our Diversity Champions are responsible for implementing an equality and diversity strategy and instilling a diverse and accepting workplace culture across our business, ensuring our people, our clients and our candidates feel welcome, safe and valued.

What we are doing

Our EDI initiatives are led by our Diversity Champions and are supported by our Board of Directors and Senior Management Team. We are committed to addressing an EDI agenda that includes, but is not limited to: age, gender, ethnicity, disability, and sexual orientation. EDI has always been important at Sellick Partnership. Both as an organisation, and as individuals, we recognise that we need to do more.

We have introduced measures that will assist in accelerating change within our business and support our employees throughout their career with us. We have signed up to the following initiatives:

  • APSCo Member Committed to Diversity - meaning that we have  successfully demonstrated our commitment to encouraging diversity in recruitment. Our commitment is a public promise to take measurable steps to improve diversity at Sellick Partnership and within the recruitment industry.
  • Disability Confident Committed - we are a Disability Confident Committed (Level 1) employer. We are proud to support this movement of change, encouraging employers to think differently about disability and take action to improve how they recruit, retain and develop disabled people.
  • Business in the Community Race at Work Charter - we know that ethnic minorities still face significant disparities in employment and progression, and that is something we need to change. Signing up means taking practical steps to ensure their workplaces are tackling barriers that ethnic minority people face in recruitment and progression and that their organisations are representative of British society today.
  • Race Fairness Commitment - we are delighted to have signed up to this charter which strives to achieve fairness at work for people of all ethnic backgrounds.

Our Equality & Diversity statement provides more information about what we do as a business. Our aim is to create an environment that encourages and values diversity within the workplace and builds on the differences individuals bring.
