We have an opportunity for an Employment Solicitor to join a firm in Merseyside for a long term maternity cover starting from the end of July.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise employer clients on employment law and workplace issues
Prepare legal documents, contracts, and responses to employment claims
Represent employers in employment tribunals and hearings
Handle settlement discussions and ACAS negotiations
Manage tribunal cases from start to finish
Draft and review HR policies, contracts, and procedures
Support clients with dismissals, grievances, and disciplinary matters
Keep up to date with employment law changes and advise clients accordingly
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of UK employment law and tribunal procedures
Experience advising employers/respondents in employment matters
Confident handling Employment Tribunal cases and drafting legal documents
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines
Experience negotiating settlements and working with ACAS
Proactive, client-focused, and able to work independently or in a team
