Sellick Partnership is excited to be working with a Legal 500 ranked firm who are looking for a Housing Litigation Solicitor to join their team in Leeds.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide high-quality, client-focused legal advice and representation in all areas of housing litigation.
  • Act for tenants, landlords, housing associations, and local authorities on a range of contentious housing matters.

  • Manage possession proceedings, disrepair claims, tenancy disputes, and anti-social behaviour injunctions.

  • Advise clients on homelessness, unlawful evictions, and housing allocation issues.

  • Draft and review legal documents including claims, defences, witness statements, and settlement agreements.

  • Represent clients in court hearings, tribunals, and negotiations.

  • Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and tailored legal support.

  • Keep up to date with developments in housing law and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

The successful candidate:

  • 3 + years PQE with strong experience in housing litigation law.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to manage a busy caseload and work to tight deadlines.

  • A proactive and client-focused approach.
