Are you an experienced Court of Protection solicitor looking to take the next step in your career at a highly respected, Top 200 UK law firm?

I am working with one of my main clients, a leading full-service firm based in Surrey with a strong reputation for our specialist private client work, including a nationally recognised Court of Protection team and award winning solicitors. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Senior Associate to join their dynamic and supportive team.

As a Senior Solicitor in thei Court of Protection team, you will take a lead role in managing a complex and varied caseload involving:

  • Acting as a professional deputy or working closely with appointed deputies

  • Managing high-value damages awards for clients lacking capacity

  • Advising on all aspects of property and financial affairs under the Mental Capacity Act 2005

  • Working closely with our clinical negligence and personal injury teams

  • Supervising and mentoring junior team members

  • Contributing to business development and maintaining client relationships

What could make you standout?

  • Ideally at least 6 years'+ PQE with a strong background in Court of Protection work

  • Experience acting for vulnerable individuals and their families

  • Excellent technical knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and related case law

  • A collaborative team player with leadership potential

  • STEP or COP accreditation is desirable but not essential
