What was it about Sellick Partnership that convinced you to take a role here?
I was attracted to Sellick Partnership because of the culture. I’ve been part of companies before where you are merely just a number and not cared about. Here, from the initial conversation, I could sense that the company was more than making money, it was caring about employee wellbeing.
What are the best things about your role?
I love the fact that it is so versatile – your desk is like your own little business! The success is down to you. I love being able to build relationships with both candidates and clients and make the process refreshing.
Do you remember placing your first candidate and how did that feel?
Absolutely! I was thrilled. I am someone who lacks confidence until I start seeing results/achieving so it felt very reassuring and gave me the boost I needed. It showed me that, for someone who hasn’t done recruitment before, I can do this!
Outside of your job, what else do you enjoy about Sellick Partnership?
I feel strongly about the values Sellick Partnership has. I am grateful for the fact that I can get involved with helping and raising money for charities, that there is support and understanding for mental health and that you are supported within your career progression.
Very importantly, I love the culture and social aspect – I don’t see my colleagues as people I work with – but as my friends and I feel lucky that I get to work with them. Everyone seems to share similar values, mindsets and goals and it feels great to be part of a passionate and motivated team. Whenever we have a team night out, you’re always guaranteed the best time because everyone is super fun and makes the effort.
