Jo Sellick, Managing Director
Jo started his career in recruitment in the early 1990s, prior to setting up Sellick Partnership in 2002. Having worked in recruitment for the majority of his career Jo realised he had a desire to work for himself and build a business with a unique culture. Since then Jo has been committed to creating an environment that individuals thrive in and are able to work to the best of their ability.
Over the past 15 years Sellick Partnership has gone from strength-to-strength as one of the most respected specialist recruitment agencies in the UK and has been recognised accordingly. Although Managing Director , Jo’s role remains very hands-on, still maintaining a billing capacity within the business, as well as being responsible for the establishment, strategic development and growth of the firm. The business continues to grow organically, employing 90 members of staff across a network of seven offices nationwide, and has established itself as one of the most respected professional services recruitment agencies in the country.
Hannah Cottam, Group Director
Hannah Cottam began her recruitment career in Manchester in 1999, before making the move to Sydney – where she took up a position with a leading recruitment firm working as a Senior Consultant within their financial division.
Upon her return to the UK in 2004, Hannah joined Sellick Partnership as a Senior Consultant in Manchester, setting up the Legal division along with Marianne Sellick. As a valued member of the business, she went on to become Legal Director in March 2006 and then Group Director in 2008. Since then Hannah has been instrumental in ensuring the growth of Sellick Partnership, overseeing the opening of the Leeds and London offices in order to meet growing demand. The Sellick Partnership legal team continues to go from strength-to-strength under Hannah’s supervision, securing themselves as market leaders across the UK and becoming the recruiter of choice for countless organisations.
As a member of the Board of Directors, Hannah takes a pro-active and strategic approach to the business, supporting continuous development and helping to form plans for future organic growth.
Ray Wareing, Group Director
After graduating from Loughborough University, Ray began his career teaching PE and Geography in the North West. In 1998 he opted for a major career change working as a financial recruitment consultant for a leading recruiter within the commerce & industry sector.
In 2003, Jo Sellick invited Ray to join Sellick Partnership as a Senior Consultant for the Finance division and he was quickly promoted to Team Leader. Ray now heads up the Manchester Finance division becoming Group Director in 2008. He currently heads up the Manchester and Liverpool finance teams and sits on the Board of Directors for the business.
Ray plays an integral part in the strategic management of the business, proactively addressing areas where the business can grow and develop. Over the years he has established himself as a key part of our internal training and development team, which ensures that Sellick Partnership’s employees are trained to the highest standard.
Nikki Kinsey, Group Director
Nikki was head hunted by Managing Director Jo Sellick to join the Stoke-on-Trent office in 2005 as a Recruitment Consultant to assist in the development of the West Midlands public sector market. After gaining valuable experience she was promoted to Senior Consultant, Team Leader, and Manager respectively. In 2009, she became Associate Director and established our office in Derby and progressed to Group Director in 2018.
Nikki has been included in The Derby Telegraph’s ‘Inspirational 250’ list both in 2016 and 2017. The list showcases 250 business individuals who they feel are making a significant difference to the economic growth of Derbyshire. Nikki is also actively involved in the third sector, and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for me&dee – an award winning Midlands based charity set up by Maria Hanson MBE. In addition Nikki has also been on the judging panel of the Not-For-Profit Organisation award for the Derby Telegraph Business Awards for a number of years.
Nikki is committed to driving Sellick Partnership forward, working alongside the Board of Directors and the Senior Management Team to ensure the businesses growth strategy is executed across all throughout the business.
Mike Hoyle, Finance Director
Mike Hoyle joined Sellick Partnership as Financial Controller in January 2014 and was promoted to the businesses Finance Director in 2017. Mike is an ACA qualified Chartered Accountant and has previously worked at some of the most prestigious accountancy firms in the UK. With a strong background in audit, Mike has an extremely high level of technical accounting knowledge.
Mike currently manages a team of eight people, providing support for around 80 Sellick Partnership staff, more than 550 customers, over 700 contractors and in excess of 250 permanent placements. Mike plays a crucial role in creating and realising the future goals of Sellick Partnership, whilst leading a team of finance professionals to ensure the best possible service for our clients and candidates. Mike is extremely focused on getting the right outcomes for Sellick Partnership and has demonstrated his ability to lead people toward a common goal, working closely with the Board of Directors to ensure the business continues to grow.
