We are currently working with a well-regarded, Legal 500 ranked firm in Watford that is looking for an NQ Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and experienced residential conveyancing law professional to join a supportive team and develop a legal career.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the legal process of buying or selling residential property from start to finish
  • Take initial instructions, verify client identity, and explain the conveyancing process
  • Draft or review contracts, investigate the legal title, and arrange property searches
  • Raise or respond to legal enquiries and ensure all necessary information is complete
  • Review mortgage offers and meet lender requirements where applicable
  • Advise clients on legal risks or issues related to the property or transaction
  • Oversee exchange of contracts, secure the deposit, and agree on a completion date
  • Handle the transfer of funds, confirm completion, and arrange key release
  • Pay any required taxes (such as Stamp Duty) and register the new owner with the Land Registry
  • Provide final documents to the client and/or lender, and maintain clear communication throughout

The successful candidate:

  • Qualified (or near-qualified) solicitor, CILEx professional, or licensed conveyancer
  • Some hands-on experience in residential property transactions

  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills

  • Good verbal and written communication abilities

  • Able to manage tasks independently and as part of a team

  • Interest in supporting business development and client engagement

  • Comfortable dealing with clients, colleagues, and external contacts

  • Positive attitude, proactive approach, and willingness to contribute to a team environment
