Principal Contracts Solicitor - Locum

A large client of ours in the Wolverhampton area is seeking an experienced commercial contracts and procurement specialist to join their inhouse legal services team as Interim Principal Solicitor - Commercial Team.

Candidates must have a proven track record in managing teams and developing others' skill sets. This post is to manage a sizable team of 7 lawyers, plus a trainee solicitor. Alongside the team management, the successful candidate will be able to maintain case management and work on a wide range of high value contracts. Areas covered by the team include:

• Commercial contracts
• Construction contracts
• EU Procurement matters
• Competition and subsidy control
• Joint ventures and partnership agreements
• Committee and governance Projects
• Employment law contracts
• EU and central government funded work
• PFI matters
• Company law advice
• Pension Fund matters
• Grant Funding

The client is eager to find a seasoned Local Government solicitor who is able to hit the ground running with this post. Previous local authority experience is required to ensure that the team adhere to governance principles.
