Are you a Private Client Solicitor looking for locum/temp work?
We have an opportunity for a Private Client Solicitor to join a Legal 500 firm in Chichester on a FTC as maternity cover.
Key Responsibilities:
Drafting wills, codicils, and trusts; advising clients on inheritance tax, asset protection, and estate structuring to ensure their wishes are legally sound and tax-efficient.
Probate & Estate Administration: Managing the full probate process, from obtaining Grants of Probate or Letters of Administration to distributing assets, liaising with beneficiaries, and handling inheritance tax reporting with HMRC.
Advising on the creation, administration, and termination of trusts, including guidance on trustee duties, tax implications, and trust documentation.
Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney; making deputyship applications; advising on capacity issues and ongoing responsibilities for attorneys or deputies.
Taking over existing matters with minimal supervision, maintaining high standards of client care, confidentiality, and legal compliance; updating and managing files efficiently.
Ensuring all work complies with relevant regulations and firm procedures, including accurate time recording and clear documentation for each case.
Requirements:
Ability to work independently.
Willingness to help with marketing and growing the business.
Ability to apply the law in a practical, business-focused way.
