Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a Finance Officer for our Public Sector client based in South Yorkshire.

Job Summary:

  • Directly support the accountants in the provision of clear, accurate and timely financial information
  • Act as a single point of contact for routine financial matters

Key responsibilities - Finance Officer:

  • Profile all revenue, capital, and grant budgets in accordance with the budget setting timetable
  • Prepare routine budget working papers for the budget setting process
  • Identify, query, and explain all revenue and grant, non-pay, current month and year-to-date variances
  • Calculate all accruals, prepayments, collaboration adjustments and external recharges
  • Gather, analyse, and reconcile pay data to pay budgets
  • Identify current month and year-to-date variances
  • Run the month-end capital reports
  • Monitor Capital variances
  • Carry out year-end duties

Person Specification - Finance Officer:

  • Full member of AAT
  • Experience of working in a financial environment
  • Experience of budgetary control and year end procedures
