Top regional firm, Southampton

£47,000 - £52,000

I am looking for a passionate newly qualified solcitor to join a dynamic COP team. Their work centers around supporting individuals who lack mental capacity-often due to traumatic brain injury-by helping them navigate complex legal and financial matters with dignity and clarity.

As part of this highly collaborative and client-focused group, you'll contribute to the management of deputyship cases, statutory wills, and the administration of property and financial affairs. You'll work alongside a multi-disciplinary team that puts the client's wellbeing at the heart of every decision.

What could make you stand out?

  • A qualified Solicitor/Legal Executive with experience in Court of Protection.

  • Ideally, you'll have experience working on deputyship and related matters, but we welcome applications outside this range if you bring the right attitude and skillset.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborating on a wide range of Court of Protection matters, from straightforward applications to more intricate financial arrangements.

  • Providing hands-on support to senior team members while developing your own caseload over time.

  • Developing trusted relationships with clients and their families, ensuring their needs are met with empathy and professionalism.

  • Playing a key role in maintaining the high standards our clients expect, from accurate reporting to timely legal advice.

  • Receiving ongoing mentorship and training designed to help you grow your expertise at a steady, supportive pace.

If this sounds like your ideal next role, please reach out to Ashleigh Curtis for more information.
