£40-50 per hour (based on experience)

Our client is looking for a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, FILEX or equivalent, ideally with local government experience but they are open to considering other sectors with transferrable skills. You will have experience providing professional legal advice on all aspects of commercial property related work.

The responsibilities of the role will include, but not limited to:

  • To specialise in the following areas: Commercial Property, Landlord and Tenant, and Regeneration work
  • To participate in the provision of a comprehensive legal service to the Council and other client departments as may be required
  • To advise on routine Local Government issues, complex matters and other legal developments relevant to the service
  • To draft agreements and reports and represent Legal Services and the Council at Committee meetings, hearings and public inquiries when necessary
