Role: Lead Finance Project Officer

Type: Interim 6 months

Salary: £400 to £500 per day inside

Hybrid 1 day a week in the office (flexible)

Location: Gloucestershire

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a Lead Finance Project Officer for our Public Sector client.

The Lead Officer of the Adult Support Services Financial Services Team is responsible for overseeing and managing teams that report to them in order to provide a level of service that is accurate, timely, and reliable. To create and uphold a strategy for continuous improvement of the services provided through both current and new customer access channels.

Key responsibilities for the Lead Finance Project Officer are;

  • Reporting to the Finance Manager in relation to the Projects & Capital
  • Improving Project processes, standardising and embedding processes
  • Reviewing Finance Manager policies, processes and procedures
  • Supporting in the costing of business cases
  • Assisting in the development of Statutory returns
  • Guiding the Capital team with bids and documenting processes
  • Working with the Finance Manager with Procurement queries.

The Ideal candidate for the Lead Finance Project Officer will have;

  • Part AAT Qualified or similar qualification
  • Public Sector experience
  • Project Management experience
  • Stakeholder Management experience
  • Effective monitoring of budgets and risks.
