Duration: 3 Months FTC (Part time 2-3days a week)

Location: Hemel Hempstead

Salary: Up to £42000 per annum (pro rata)

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our client based in Hemel Hempstead. This role is offered on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 1 day a week required onsite.

The Ideal HR Business Partner will be responsible for providing proactive and solution focused advice to line managers across the organisation to improve performance and support the delivery of the organisations objectives.

The duties of the HR Business Partner include:

  • Provide solution-based advice and guidance to line managers on all people aspects including the organisations policies and procedures, term and conditions and pension processes.
  • Ensure that HR matters are managed in a fair, and consistent manner with the emphasis on managers taking responsibility and ownership of decision-making involving people issues.
  • Oversee HR cases from end to end to achieve effective outcomes for individuals and the organisation including grievances, disciplinaries, capability, and absence management
  • Ensure accurate and up to date case management records are maintained
  • Identify people issues that are an obstacle to achieving departmental and service objectives Gain support to address issues and agree priorities and action plans
  • Coach line managers to fulfil their people management responsibilities within both formal and informal processes and provide guidance with regards to line management roles and responsibilities
  • Oversee the change management programmes including service reorganisations and TUPE transfers seeking support from the HR Manager
  • Attend consultation meetings with staff and trade inions ensuring appropriate record keeping a collation of necessary data
  • Develop and deliver line manager HR best practice training to ensure processes are embedded effectively across the management population
  • Delivering strategic and operational HR support, guidance, and leadership

The HR Business Partner will ideally have:

  • CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience of working at a similar level is desirable
  • Experience of working in a public sector organisation is desirable
  • Experience of managing complex casework in all ER and sickness

The HR Business Partner will need to have excellent communication skills and effectively be able to communicate to stakeholders of all levels. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have an impeccable eye for detail and accuracy to ensure all workload is carried out effectively and efficiently. They will also need to able to prioritise their workload and be efficient and effective to meet unpredictable deadlines and deal with conflicting demands, whilst working in a high-pressured environment.
